Control Industrial Start/Stop (On/Off) Pulse Control For Motor/Light Latching Relay

 

 

The board is designed to perform industrial standard precision short pulse Start/Stop (On/Off) for Motor/Light Latching Relay. If used properly, it will eliminate the need for an expensive board or external switches, which would otherwise be needed to carry out the same tasks.

 

Power from 24VAC or 24VDC, using only one external 2 Position Switch (push button, toggle or relay signal from PLC) to generate the necessary high voltage short timing pulse signals required by Start/Stop (On/Off, Run/Stop) Motor/Light latching relay.

 

The Board uses a dry contact switch, or a two-wire control often used when interfacing with PLC's or other process controls with relay outputs. This unique board uses a single input to control both the START and STOP functions of the Motor or Light Latching Relay Board.

Latching relay is by default energy conservation since they do not require constant power to maintain contact closure.

 

There are few kinds  “Latching relay” in industrial applications:

 

A. Lighting Latching relay that maintains its contact position after the control power has been removed. Energizing those relay only required short pulse single. In addition they are also desirable when the one needs to have a relay that maintains its position during an interruption of power. Operation is very simple; one short pulse of coil power to move their contacts in one direction, and another, redirected short pulse to move them back. another advantage, repeated pulses from the same input have no effect.

 

For example GE models RR-7/9 are lighting latching relay requiring only momentary 24V switch circuit pulses to Start (On) and Stop (off) the mail line rail voltage. The Board allows the control of up to twenty-four (24) GE RR7 or GE RR9 relays or up to twelve (12) P&S 1070-B relays from PLC dry contact or switch.

 

B. Motor Latching relay that maintains its contact position after the control power has been removed. Energizing those relay only required short pulse single or dry contact. They are well suited for applications such as turning a motor on or off from one or more locations with a single momentary switch or push button at each station. For example, a conveyor could be started and/or stopped from multiple locations by means of a single button at each position.

 

The Board is easy to install, setup and operate. If you want to do professional remote motor drive or light control On/Off related functions, The board offers the features you need. It can be mounted easily via four 0.125" mounting holes utilizing 4-40 or 6-32 screws.

 

Simply connect the board to 24VAC or 24VDC, connect your On/Off external switch and the board will automatically engaged the Start and Stop "C" type relay to control external Latching relay

 

Note:

 

1. 12V relay coils are also available.

 

2. On board GND wire place should be tie to main ground or chassis.
